Old Town Predator PDL

Thought I had owned my last kayak - then I saw the new model Predator PDL and ended up buying the first one here on the "Central Coast" (Pismo Beach).  Last kayak was a Hobie Tandem Island, loved it but just too heavy for me to car top.

Only did a short sea trial so far  on the Predator but so far so good.  Setting it up with a second seat for the "Admiral" when we go to calm waters.  Pedals great, like the 500# capacity, like the hull design.

Due to my planed modifications think I'll call it the "Pismo Gismo".

Hi retrace - After trying it out here's a report for you.  I've had a few kayaks before to compare with.  Most experience was with a Malibu Extreme (around 200 total hours fishing out of Shelter Cove).

The Predator PDL is awesome.  Handles 12 to 15 knot wind with small white caps and chop much better.  Hull design is superior to anything I have used before. Easy to pedal and maintain 3 MPH even for a 70 year old "Boogieman".  Seat is very comfortable but does sit high for ocean use, would be much better if they could provide a lower position too. 

Only other con is the steering control.  Soon as you let it go especially in windy conditions, it veers off.  Really need a way to lock it in place.  Otherwise it's great.  Car tops well and I can handle without help.

Question:  Can the rudder control be transferred to the other side of the kayak? 

I'm considering this yak but I must be able to steer with my right hand
