Anchovy paste

Recently I saw a YouTube video where a charter boat captain used Anchovy paste in a Brads cut plug. He said it is easier to use, less messy and more concentrated, and it had oil already in it.  Something to think of in the future if you use cut plugs. Now which brand of paste did he use, he didn't say.

If you can find a good source for it that is not too expensive it works pretty well. I couldn’t find it at any stores near me (small town) and the cheap oil packed can tuna is easy to come by.

On a side note don’t use the house blender/nutri bullet/etc to try to make your own. You will lose many many many home points with your significant other 

it's like 2.99 for a tube at safeway.  buy it all the time - secret ingredient. makes a lot of sense, and probably cheaper than procure.

Anyone put this stuff in the helmet of FBR or krippled? I wonder if it would make a difference.  Seems simple enough to do.

This one was on a cut plug actually the cut plug killed it off my boat last year. haven't been out this year. too busy with family and JOB.

Thanks for the tip!  In fact I went to Safeway yesterday and bought a tube of anchovy paste.  Standing in the checkout line, the guy in line behind me says "What's the paste for?" and as it turned out, he guessed it was for salmon fishing.  He was quite knowledgeable about cut plugs and anchovy paste!

I started using it on my spinners when cadting for salmon in Benicia. I'd say it worked well.
