Hello Everyone, my name is Ryan and I live in San Diego about 5 minutes from the La Jolla beach launch. I am going on a 4 day camping trip to Big Sur, close to Pfeiffer beach. Look like there is some good rock fishing in the area from reports I have been reading. I am planning on bringing all of my gear and would love to partner up with someone! Of course, I will reciprocate with a guided La Jolla trip!! I am in my 11th year of Kayak fishing, so no newbie stuff to worry about. The dates are June 22 and 23 are the preferred days. PM or reply to this thread, look forward to fishing with someone.

Welcome, Brother. Can't be sure about Big Sur area in my case, and anyway, I'm somewhat of a competent newbie, but please keep posting here. Wife and I spend some time in Pacific Grove. If you hookup with an experienced member, I may join in without holding you back. Best wishes.

If you're at Pfieffer beach, the closest launch to the south is an hour away @ Limekiln or Mill Creek. The closest launch to the north is Carmel about 45min drive.
Pfieffer beach has the potential to launch from...but it can also be dangerous as hell. Andrew Molera beach is launchable but there's a mile-long portage and it's in the middle of an SMR. I'd say checkout Limekiln or Mill Ck. Or drive up to Carmel and checkout Pebble Beach. Good luck!

Ryan wttncm.  I am driving down to San Diego tomorrow.  Staying in mission beach and bringing my dive stuff.  Mind if I get in touch with you about potential dive spots?
