Working down in Moss Landing Saturday I saw some huge halibut coming in off the Pajarro Pipeline (north of Moss about 2 miles)-average was around 22 lbs, and the biggest went 40. The fish were caught from 20-50 ft of water.
They were biting hard on the live sardines from the bait receiver, with dead squid being a good backup.
Go get em boys. The summer season is about to go off!

Can you suggest a launch site for fishing the pipeline?  I have always wanted to do that.  I would also like to freedive it someday.

We launched from Moss Landing and paddled north.  I think it is closer to 3-3.5 miles each way from the marina.
