I was wondering if anyone might know if it would help the performance if a the hull of the X-Factor was smoother? I was wondering if by palcing some type of sticker or painting a smooth surface if that would help the performance and make it faster. I not sure if it would or not but since the surface is somewhat rough , I thought that if it had a very smooth surface that it could help make it track faster on those long haul days. Just a thought if anyone might have an opinion on this.
thanks

Not sure that it would even do anything or if it did it would probably be so minimal as to not even be noticed.

I think that, unless you've got some major fringe or curlicues of gouged plastic it probably wouldn't be worth the trouble. That's one big boat, and all that wetted area comes at a cost of speed. I was looking at the rather weathered hull of my t140 yesterday morning & wondering the same thing. But then i got it out on the water & it seems as speedy as it ever was.

Thanks for the responses. I was thinking it probably wasn't worth the effort but wasn't sure. I'm sure if I lose a few lbs that would go further then putting big sticker on the hull to increase the tracking. :smt044
