I have to admit that though I am fully a Nor Cal guy, this trip last week occurred far south as I visited my GF's family... and sadly was a shore dive. Now that I have utterly failed the two criteria of this forum here is the SoCal non Kayak report! I had 2 hrs in the water and four mouths to feed. Speared some easy opaleye to fry, grabbed some giant limpets and a handful os scallops and made some awesome sushi after freediving with giant rays, swell sharks, and Garibaldi. It was a nice way oasis from the rush of the SoCal city!

Dude! Is your avitar really Chin? Holy shit man! Most folks have no idea who he is since he went underground years ago! He was actually there at the reef I was diving!!!!!!! I saw him drop down and line up on a 10+lbs sheephead and then just let it go... maybe to just take in that moment? Keep the old ways alive!
