It was nice - for a change, to simply have an NCKA gathering which focused more on the "getting to know each other" rather than the just the fishing itself. And besides, not everyone likes to fish for competition....it's just simply about "being out there"  :camp RELAX was the key word of the weekend...we even gave ChuckE a much deserved vacation from his deep frying skillzzz  :smt002
Ditto.  It was sure nice to be able to kick back for a change.  Everything was good, but the BBQ was off the hook.  The Pilipino style BBQ pork that Kiel "ReelKnots" brought was incredible.  I'm salivating just thinking about it.

I had a great time and so did my dog Aki.

We need to do more kayak-in-camping!

Met Jason at the cove across the narrows...as he hooked up casting right next to some stick-ups.

Got a LMB to hit a trolled shad rap along the shoreline.

Here is Joel doing a demo of his man dog circumcision techniques on a trout. J/K  :smt005

He is actually showing how to clean a trout. And I must say this is the first time I have seen someone clean trout without a cleaning surface to work on. Nine!

I thought you guys were kidding about finding a giant tarantula. Ben, I've been told that, when you handle one of those things, you should wash your hands before touching your eyes with your fingers.

Mooch, maybe that's what you heard walking around at night.  :smt005

Looks like everyone had an awesome time. Really sorry I missed it but I don't want to risk having Omar blaming his emotional issues later in life on my not having taken him to a birthday party.   :smt003

Saturday morning...it was such a cool thing to see familiar faces paddling to the site, with another kayak in tow.

* Shark Attack Dan (also kown as "check out my sexy legs") peddling in and helping a brother out. He helped Frank tow in one of Franks kayaks..
* And so did Pat R and his lovely wife....

This is what NCKA is all about = true camaraderie  :smt002

Joel,

Great get together. Are you planning on making it an annual event?
