I am please to announce the 2nd Holiday Tournament.  I have been inundated with queries as to the start and ending dates.

The start day is 12/01/2013.

Rules:////
     1.  Use any item associated with this holiday as a lure.  Please use good taste as we
don't want to offend anyone while we enjoy ourselves.
     2.  Post a picture of the lure before using it.  (remember, it must be of a holiday theme)  No stock lures can be
used unless they are modified in some capacity.
     3.  Take a picture of the fish you catch using the holiday lure while it is still attached to
fish.  It must be witnessed by a NCKA member.  The fish should then be released.  You will be
contacted by the rule Nazi to verify your catch.
     4.   Post a picture of the fish on a measuring devise showing the length of the fish.
     5.   The longest fish wins.
     6.  Contest closes 12/31/2013  Pictures must be posted by 1/10/2014.

Happy holidays and good fishing during this festive time of the year.  Let's promote love and goodwill in our brotherhood.

The winner will get a beefy game clip donated by me; color identification chart of California rockfish, and three lures made by   Petaluma Dive and Sport Shop.

Happy holidays NCKA members

A holiday bear.  Would it survive time in the salt?

That certainly qualifies as a holiday lure.    Only a few days left.  Just imagine what winning this prestigious tournament will do for your reputation. :smt005

I was all over the hardware store today picking up goodies. A fancy Santa Claus lost a wool eyebrow to me today.  :smt002 I hope I can wet my creation, its fishy as heck.

Me and Gary made it to AB yesterday for a little end of season salt therapy. I started off with my Holiday lure for several lings to 29" before loosing her.
Phone was out of reach so no photo C&R, so I kept her for Christmas eve dinner. Maybe next year!

I wish I could but I don't think I'm going to have any time to fish this holiday season

Jesus.  Are you kidding me.  That is a haul on a Holiday Lure.  Too bad no camera.   That give someone else a shot.
