Title: No dungies, but salvaged the day with some nice Rock Crab
Post by: DieHardFishing on February 16, 2018, 03:33:59 PM
While waiting for rockfish/salmon season, took the kayak out to stay in shape and target some crab. Tried a new area that I thought might hold some Dungeness crab but it turned out to be nothing but rock crab (must have been a rocky area). Oh well, I will be back to my old stomping grounds next time out!

Thanks for the report and video DHF.  I prefer the Reds over Dungies as  they taste sweeter to me.

great video! Im in the east bay and I really want to get out there, deciding on boats which is a little overwhelming, I was surprised to see the guy in the inflatable, is that normal to see guys crabbing out of inflatables? that would solve some issues for me

Good stuff. It has been pretty hard crabbing out of HMB this year. There just haven't been much out there.
Thanks for confirming it anyhow.
