wait, so its not a "T" shaped pod to allow for easier retraction of the prop in all positions?  Its only that shape to accommodate the larger pod shape and inclusion of a small hatch cover?  Bad decision, OT.

It's a self-righting prop so once you start to pull the drive up the prop aligns.

It's a self-righting prop so once you start to pull the drive up the prop aligns.


I seriously don't know why you just quit your job and start designing kayaks Ben. hahahahah The drive goes in and out effortlessly. Then it holds its up position when you come into shore or go over structure without completely removing the drive unit.

Just wondering how your PDL is holding up so far? Have you used it in salt water much?  How is the drive doing now? Have you had any issues yet?

I'm looking to pick up one. Also looking at the Jackson coosa FD.
