Most of us can't go rockfishing but we can continue to share our knowledge and experience.

My favorite jig for rockfishing is 5oz Orange Inchiku with two hooks as you can see from below.
My wife has been catching so many fish with this jig, last I got demoted to a deckhand position.

During the off-season, I order a new jig I want to try which has been really popular in South Korea to catch red snappers.
The weigh slides and make much more effective to fight fish.

Please share your favorite jig.

Thanks for sharing. Where do you tie your line on the Inchiku? To the ring on the cord that is connected to the hoochie?

Cool. Was just looking at purchasing some inchinku jigs online. They looked like they would do really well with rockfish. Glad to hear they do. I was looking at the ones made by Catch Fishing. They make them in a much lighter weight. I believe 28g. Probably a bit light. Pretty cool jigs. I also scored some Lucanus jigs that I'm dying to try out
A jerk at one end of the line waiting for a jerk at the other end.

I used to connect to the front (A) but after watching the following video I am going to try to connect to the back (B).

I think you need a minimum 100g to make it to the bottom.
I got some more jig from https://www.ebay.com/itm/LOT-8-130g-4-6-OUNCE-BLACK-DOG-CAN-DO-JIG-SHIMANO-LUCANUS-SHIP-BOTTOM-VIDEO/223932685181
However, it has small hooks and skirts than I like.  Ordered some kevlar line, solid rings, 2/0 3/0 hooks, and larger skirts to tie my own assist hooks.
Plan to test the original and modified jig, as soon as I can get to the ocean.  Hopefully soon.

Connecting to “b”  I could imagine the sliding feature working properly at strike giving some flex and the “a” end hitting the rocks and protecting the jig but the eye on the weight I’m guessing as a squid would have the eyes towards the tentacles... looking to get some and thank you for keeping us focused on out fishing our significant other, my wife does not fish so I have a little advantage... :smt006

Looking at it again, the hook ring is stationary, I thought it was in a sliding channel...

The hook ring slideout, approximately 1-1/2", until the red bead.

Yeah I've been looking at their products on their site. They look like some awesome stuff. How do you like their flat falls? Have you tried the Boss Squid or the Squidwings?

Squidwings are awesome. The cabezone around here really love em. For some reason they resist bottom snagging in rocks as well. Used the same jig all season last year. Even got a Cali Hali on the troll with one. Just remember to remove the this assist hook at head of jig
I have a 500 gram giant squidwings that I'm going to target Pacific halibut with this year. Can't beat there gear. If your into swimbaits forCali Hali fishing look at the lives plastics. Very durable

their inchinku jig jumps from 100g to 200g.  3.5oz seems fine but slightly light in some cases while 7oz seems a little heavy.  which do you go with?
