went to otter cove and the waves were breaking in the cove. i swam out with my boogie board and checked out some reefs and sandy areas for fish. the water felt really cold this morning. it was clear though about 10-15 ft vis outside the kelp and fish were out.

i got one ling and one big perch. saw lots of rf and greenlings. the ling i got stuck his head out of a hole when i was doing some tapping with my gun tip. what was weird was i did not see a single cabezon all morning. usually i see em a lot here.

the swells and surge were fun. i would dive down and let the surge take me wherever and just pop up and do it again and again.

i saw some fish getting frisky, they were rubbing each other as they swam in circles.

i got out around 1030 am and the vis was starting to get worse, down to 2-3 ft by then. i dived the high tide and it was good. after that it was going downhill fast.

Thanks for the report John. Those fish weren't getting frisky; they were trying to hide behind each other when they saw you!
