Good day Norcal Anglers!!!

Newish to the kayak scene. Have been jigging for Lings and rockfish for 2 years, but only just started hitting the waters in my own "kayak". This is new to me, but with 30 years of fishing experience under my belt, I have to admit it is my favorite way to fish the ocean.

My father was stoked when I picked up my first rod at 4 years old and hooked more perch that day than he did. From there it grew from a way to enjoy gathering my own food to an obsession of where I could perform this wonderful feat at. I have fished the shores of Oahu, Florida, California, Oregon, and Washington. Have hit lakes in all of these as well as Nevada, Texas, Kuwait and Iraq. When in fresh water I prefer Salmonid species. But when I get to the ocean everything is fair game.

And now for a small question. Looking for a super healthy, think Hippie, recipe for Abalone Chowder. I have two in my freezer and with the amount of time they've been hiding in there I don't think my standard of grilling them will work the best. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Welcome aboard.  Not sure about the chowder but I made and posted a potsticker recipe awhile back and a good way to get rid of some abalone.  Just modify to your own tastes.
