Sorry for the late results - I had to take care of some honeydews on Monday :smt003
Thanks to those who have participated in these events this year and especially to the sponsors who gave so generously to make these events happen.
The Lake was beautiful and the wind was very kind to us.
Of the 16 who made the trek up the hill most were rewarded with at least a fish or two and many were Brown Trout. With such a small group, all who showed was able to win in the hourly drawing and every one went home happy.
NCKA is surely blessed to have such a great group of people.

The winners of this event:
First Place = Frank Nunes - 15 1/4"
Second Place = Michael Delbeck - 14"
Third Place = Benjamin Yu - 14"
(2nd & 3rd tied and was determined by a coin toss)

Honorable mentions:
Chris Mccann = 13 7/8"
Jeff Engleton = 13 3/4"
All those who made it up the hill

Please mark your calender for the final event on October 17th at Tiki Lagun in W. Stockton where I will announce the winner of the new O.K. Trident 13

See Ya Soon,
Eric / Yakhopper

Nice work running this series, Eric.  I wish I lived closer as I'd love to participate in it.  Well done, Bro.   :smt001

i forgot my camera that day so only took one picture.

i think dilbeck and maybe bunny nunes has some more

here's my second/third place fish...just a little trout.  Had some scars on him

The real troutslayer of the day was yakhopper himself - he was able to catch 5 fish before 10am even though he launched half an hour after the rest of us.  Too bad he can't win  :smt002

Got him at about 63 cranks down on the downrigger using my rock as a downrigger ball.  Guesstimated 42 feet or so and it was on an F7 rapala.  I popped off my ball earlier on an underwater shelf and had to commandeer a nice sized boulder from the lakeshore.  Because of its success I took it home with me, where it has found a nice little resting spot in my front yard. don't tell BLM, they might want me to mail it back.

Me and Dilbeck had identical twin fish, even though we fished a couple of miles apart.  both a tiny smidge over 14" long.  We were going to fight to the death to break the tie but I messed up my shoulder earlier in the day so we decided to go with the coin flip.

i lost a pretty nice furry (copepod) rainbow at the boat.  was in the 17"+ range.  Would have been the winner for sure, but I need another fishfinder like i need a hole in the head.

I was really happy with the third place prize of a brand new PFD, a nice fillet knife and a bag of goodies.  Second place was awesome as well for MD - one of those new promar foldable nets with the knotless mesh.

Thanks a lot for the effort Eric!  it's a long drive from Fresno to Beardsley and he did it with only a smidge barely a hint of complaint!
Sad that I am going to miss the Tiki event, I was really hoping to make them all this year.  Oh well, there's always next year!

Hi Guys,

I'll post the pictures of the winners and some other pics when I figure out how to reduce the size of the photos.

Thanks

Thanks for the report Eric.  Would love to joint your events but they're all on the weekends and it's my work shift!  :smt009

Yakhopper, I'll try and make it out to Tiki.  Hopefully it'll still be warm, just not 114 degrees like last time.
