skunkeruny for me.

I just can't seem to get the trout to bite here (no one else either so I don't feel SO bad.)

Threw the SR Plastics SR7W for about 4 hours for one strike that didn't stick.

I saw at least 3 bass over 5#.  This lake seems to be populated with bruisers.  I gotta get at them..

When me & buddies speak of the Loch, we commonly slip and call it the "dead sea"  because we've been skunked on it many times (mainly for bass)  I hope to change that designation this season though.
I think the loch has it own special species of Large mouth bass also.  The Lock jaw Bass.  I've seen a few hogs from the shore, and threw all I had them.  They acted as if they were just too good for my offering  :smt009 Oh well.
Look like this Sunday I'll be getting my new outback wet on her maiden voyage!  (On the dead sea) :smt005

I would have caught a decent number of bass if I had thrown jigs or dropshot.  I was just looking for that one huge bite with the big 9" bait.

There are bass to be had, the bass fishing is slow, but not ridiculous like the trout right now.

I didn't yak it, but rented a row boat w/ two buddies - we all ditched work last week b/c of spring fever.

I'm loosing interest in Loch Lomond.  It's just so hit or miss.  needless to say, we didn't get a single hit - not even on the bed fish.  Maybe they weren't bed fish afterall!  But then, I was fishing w/ two total barnies.  One friend was throwing a true action lure!  hahaha.

But I'll always harken back to the LL opener in '04.  It was WFO on trout.  We trolled the entire lake and couldn't keep em off the lines.  Kastmasters, spinners, raps, even 3 in big hammers were getting hit.  That day is the reason I keep coming back.  Plus its just so gorgeous!

What's the crowd like on the weekends?

Must be nice to fish in a lake where there are no power boats  :smt023
