So I woke up yesterday morning and a disk had crashed on the server.  It took a bit of time to get the server back up, and not before a few panic attacks ("sorry sir, we believe your data is unrecoverable"), before we were able to get the server back up.  But we've had lingering disk issues, and I already had a new server up, running, and tested.  So I decided that since we were down, I'd just do the move to a new server.  Well, since I host NWKA and Aquahunters.com as well, those were getting moved too.  AOTY/DOTY is still on the old server, but they are way less intensive, so I'll move them over at my leisure when we can.

I was able to get NWKA and Aquahunters over pretty reasonably (4-5 hours), but NCKA's data is 5X larger than those, so it was going to take awhile.  Of course right at midnight, with the 6-8 hour copy only 15 minutes from being done, I got a network disconnection and had to restart.  Things never go smoothly, do they.  Anyways, got up an hour ago and finished her off.  If you're reading this, you're on the new server!  I just switched over the DNS settings.  It may take a couple hours to push out, but some already have it and are here.

Of course do let me know if anything doesn't look quite right.

-Allen

I think the emailer isn't working quite yet.  Had a few issues getting it working on NWKA, so I know what to look for.

Posting and surfing seem to be operating smoothly, Chief, and posts right up to the crash are intact - I was up late when she went down.   :smt003

I appreciate your work, and an episode like this should drive home the point to the membership about considering supporting you and the site.  Thanks.   :smt001
