Simply Fishing 2020

Simply Fishing Seven will be held on Saturday September 19, 2020 at Ocean Cove Campground http://www.oceancove.org/. The tournament, potluck, and charity raffle will build on the high standard and good vibes of the last six years. If you’ve been before come back, if you haven’t plan on joining us. Thanks for the support guys! With the new year I find myself getting excited for Simply and the beautiful Sonoma Coast. Details will emerge over the next several months. I will monitor and update this tread. I believe you may go ahead and reserve your campsite in the massive and scenic Ocean Cove Campground, I believe but will confirm today that campground management will take reservations for the September 19th event.

That’s right no individual campsite reservations for the “off season” I did get tournament HQ reserved though. It is a large scenic campground and last year even with a large dive group event sharing Ocean Cove we fit over 100 anglers and their people. Group site can be reserved and shared.

Looks inviting. I'm relatively new here so intend to get to as many as these events as possible.

Ocean Cove campground just opened up after the virus closure.  I hope this even will still happen.  It is one of my favorite!

I’d like to hit this for first time. First tournament ever, actually.  Got my new Outback... pretty much have it down now after three trips out. Definitely a learning curve after my Ocean Trident 15’. But I’m,Ive it already—especially the space inside the “cabin.” 

I’m looking for new spots to fish outside of Monterey area. Chasing that first halibut! (If anyone knows good places to launch in SF Bay, calmer waters... would appreciate it.)

And I definitely want to check out Tomales Bay. Got the summer off... time for a road trip!
