Haven't looked at the tides, but don't expect it to be very friendly, I just need to get on the water.

Joe... why not try the bay for stripers?
It's a little more of a drive for you, but water might be more friendly.

Joe,

Out going tide at the Brisbane tubes is a great option when the stripers are in.  If you go you can luanch out of Sierra point area. Just take Sierra point exit off of 101 N and make a right. Make another left and park near the Tsing Tao building.  Roll you Yak to the cove and off you go.  I usually troll a 1/2oz hair raiser just fast enough to keep it off the bottom. There are a lot of rocks.  You can troll all the way to the tubes, it is a moderate paddle but not bad if the wind is down.  I usually troll back and forth across the rushing water outstide the tubes.  Get as close as you can and let the water do it's thing. I have caught fish close and far.  I don't have wheels so I have to carry the Kayak pretty far. One thing to watch out for is how low the tide is.  If the tide just started to turn you have about 2 hours of good fishing. I usually try to be back and landed with at least 1 1/2  hours of outgoing tide left so that I don't have to muck through too much mud.

Hey Joe... I'm game to give Jason's plan a try.  I've never fished Brisbane before, but I'd like to try.  Besides... if we get skunked, we can blame Jason. :smt002

Jason.... low tide today is 2.5ft at 5:04pm with sunset at 7:17pm.

Can we still launch there without dealing with the mud?
