Unbelievable! Adam, you must have made a deal with the devil to be fishing this good!  :smt096
Any one of your fish this year would have been amazing all by itself, but the collection of trophies you have gathered is nothing short of amazing.

So knock it off F@*%er! Stop hogging the mojo!  :smt005

ADam I do think that at 41 inches you selling yourself short. I caught one at 28# in Ft Bragg and it measured out at 46. I know yours is bigger than 41. What an amazing fish. Thanks for letting her go. I dont think I could have. You are a man among men my friend.

more action......

nice ling adam! way to go. that last pic almost looks like you're about to cry - tears of joy maybe!
Yep!!  the whole paddle back in, i balled like a baby.

.....con't,
And if that weren't enough.....as i paddled back in(cuz i had quit) i looked down on my FF and see an arch behind a rock. Drop down the scampi and INSTANT POW!
it hits my teaser.

pic1&2~ 23"Cabbie will do......even though i was hunting for a 24"

then i really quit, for real this time, as the fellas were calling for me from shore(we had a few safety points to address) I hooted and pack it up, then looked down(repeat same from above) and POW!!

pic3~ a fat blackie wants scampi too!

as i pulled away from the action, i pinched myself, for this day i had dreamed of and thought it was all just that, A DREAM! :smt010

was it? :smt005

Yeah, a really great day out there Sunday. It was day #2 for me, but that was nothing compared to Bigwavedave and Fishunter, who made it out for their 3rd day in a row. (Yep, it was that good).

Met up with Aaron, Dave, Sandman, HDRich, and Fishunter early, then EricB, Mike & a few other showed for the second wave.

I had gotten some quality fish the previous day so I was on a catch-and-release mission (unless I got something really good). I was there for the fun of it, & I certainly had that. Aaron sticks that nice ling right off the bat & amps everyone up. Dave mentioned that the bite might turn on around 9am, but at 8:46 my swimbait get slammed on my light rod (20lb braid, abu c5500, uglystik m) and I feel the slow pull with the rapid headshakes. Flatt-teh! After a bit of freaking out by the fish I get the 28", 7lb halibut on the clip. Sweet!
I ended the day with a score of assorted rockies, (with one 20" grass rf), a couple nice cabzone to 22", a couple nice lings (approx. 30" & 33"). All fish released today except for the hali.

I got to witness a true seabeast when Fishunter brought "the beast from 6 fathoms" up from the depths. It seriously looked like that monster could take you down with it had it decided to try. Absolutely amazing. So happy I could be there to photog Adam in all his glory, as it was a sight to behold.

Freakin' great weekend spent OTW with DaBeanCrew!
Sunday afternoon, aching from two days' extensive paddling & hard fishin', looking out over a gorgeous shimmering blue sea, with a winning crew to hang & laugh it up with-it just doesn't get better than that, anywhere.

Thanks for being out there guys, & making for a great time all weekend.

Wow...  that fish is magnificent!  I've said it before, but props to you, my brother, for releasing that one and so many other trophy fish.

And thanks for not mentioning the part where I screamed like a girl.
