Actually, I don't find the wind too bad.  It tend to try to turn you and you have to correct a lot, but it still moves foreward.  And I probably only have that problem because I'm sitting in back and the nose is up off the water and the wind makes me pivot.

srm ... that's me that fishes off the back of the Triple when fishing solo.  I do so for a couple of reasons.  From the back I can much more easily turn the beast.  I also like having my gear in front of me.  The middle section is not so comfortable to me ... small footpegs and shorter.  It also doesn't have scuppers in it and collects water.  I do get a lot of wave slap when doing this as ahe nose is up a bit.

HoHo ... I handle the Triple just fine by myself both on and off the water, although I am a pretty big guy and can get away with just muscling it.

I'm 5'9" and I handle it fine by myself.  I even put it on top of my van...I just take it slow and easy.

BTW Polepole  I cut a piece of 1X4 wood like this         _______________________
                                                                             \______________________/

it then slides down in front of the little footpegs and I can brace my feet anywhere along it.  it really make for a nice ride.

srm . .. nice idea.  Although I still have the problem of total leg room in the middle seat.  I have long legs.

I finally got my tandem kayak.  I spent a lot of time looking through the ads on craigslist and eBay.  It's hard to find a good buy on eBay.  The prices go up very quickly and many of the bargains are local pickups (out of state).  You have to add the cost of shipping a kayak which is close to 100 bucks.  There are many good bargains on craigslist that are within driving distance.  They go really fast so you have to check the site everyday.  First I looked at the longer ones like Cabo, Zest and Cobra Triple.  These are very nice kayaks but I find them too big for my needs.  I'm a small guy so handling these on land after a long day in the water would not be ideal.  I started looking at shorter kayaks but I want at least a 13 footer.  Lucky me, I found a Malibu Pro2 tandem at 13' with 2 round hatches, 1 big rantangler center hatch and 2 rod holders.  This is the older model which has center footwells for riding in the middle so this can be paddled solo as well.  This kayak is very clean and looks brand new.  Here is a picture of the Pro2 tandem next to my Prowler 13.
