During the 2016 season I caught a surprise CA barracuda from a buddy's boat.  I shared the pic with friends and on social media. Then last week I was surprised once again, when I was presented with a PISCEAN original burned and etched wood plank depicting the actual photo of the cuda.  Thanks Sean, you are true friend and a talented artist!!!

aw thanks.
I'm my own worst critic, and I have to say this was an experiment with the technique I used. Hence why the wood is not more polished etc. and why Matt looks a bit like Jack Oniell. :smt005

I'm stoked it came out as well as it did, and I'll be trying some more pieces like it in future. The tool itself is tough to master for small details like smiles and facial expressions, but I'm getting there.

seeing it next to the original pic is cool!

Nice work, Sean! Are you the same Sean who did the beautiful deep-burned fish and crabs around Anchor Bay and the beautiful altar/shelter there a few years ago?

Nope, wasn't me. I've done many pieces over the years but only in the Santa Cruz area.

Pyrography is a fun art form!
