Have any of you guys fished inside the estuary in Morro Bay?  I do alot of fishing in the surf, but now that I'm starting to do kayak fishing, I think there should be some pretty good potential in there.  Any advice?

I've not fish there yet.  Found this fishing report about that area.  Hope it helps:

Starting around July first there are quite a few nice halibut in there.  Not shure when they leave.  It's a safe spot for sure.  Good luck.  Andy

The fishing was a little slow, so I ditched the kayak and hit the surf instead.  The fishing turned out to be really good!

Nice pic.  I should be coming to Cambria a few times before the end of the year.  Let me know if you're interested in hooking up before the end of the season and I'll shoot you a pm when I come.  Andy

Very nice BSP.  :smt007
I imagine the flyfishing inside Morro Bay would yield smelt, macs, various perch, and potentially halibut.

I do know for a fact that there are some pretty good sized blue sharks in the estuary!  I did have a client that hooked onto a blue that  was about 9'!  Good times for sure!
