After years of hemming and hawing, i finally picked up the kayak of my dreams.  Last year. I demoed the pa 12 and 14 at cck. Really bummed me out how heavy it felt and how much it dragged in the water. Needless to say, i was dissuaded from getting a kayak. Fast forward some months later, my buddy asked me to go with him to demo some kayaks at headwaters out in Lodi where he picked up a Native Slayer.  After demoing those kayaks and talking to Dan and Matt, my interest was suddenly renewed. Then the release of the new outback. A somewhat lighter version of the pa? Im in. Armed with my renewed enthusiasm and the internet, i began my research. Luckily, i was on paternity leave so while my baby slept in my arms, i watched kayak video after kayak video (looking at you moo moo and tla). After scouring all the forums, youtube videos and product reviews i finally decided to demo a few more hobies at cck.  Surprisingly, i ended up preferring the revo over the outback. It was fast, stable and maneuvered well during a day in which 20mph winds were producing some crazy chop... and most importantly for me, it was light! I couldnt imagine myself, all of 5'4" trying to car top that outback.
Im really thankful for all the contributors to this forum as well as all those people going out with their gopros and filming themselves fish and doling out opinions and advice.  It helped guide my decision making process a ton.  Hopefully, i can pay it forward to someone someday.
So ya. Im stoked to finally be able to get on the water and fish.... now to find the time.
Hope to see you guys out on the water someday!

Yup, that particular yak has a big following, as you can see.  (I have the same one in  yum yum yellow.) Congratulations!

I just got a new a new Toyota Rav4.  I noticed you car topped it on your CRV.  Can you tell me what rack you've mounted for the kayak?  Currently I use my work truck, Toyota Tundra, to load my yak but was interested in other options.

Right on!  I used my oem crossbars and installed the malone seawing as the saddle. Pretty easy setup and easy to load too... says a lot since im a short dude.
