Great review!! I was impressed the first time I saw the raptor at tiki last year. It was much sleeker looking in person than in pics. Then Jim popped it up on the walk way next to the ramp and wheel barreled the damn thing to the water he was in the water and ready to go while most of us were still slipping and sliding all over the ramp trying to get in the water.
The coolest looking Raptor I've seen was on a Texas form guy had the thing rigged freakin awesome!!
As far as pedal drive goes I just saw online a new pattend that used the pedal motion of a hobie but the arms went forward and back. They had a door hinge type paddle on the end so it would fold flat when going forward and flip out at 90 when going back looks like it would be a great design with some blade engineering

Jim took this old Texan out on his raptors. I fished out of SInk then later paddled the SOT, got some water in the sink and jim just stood it up and drained it, unlike our hobies that are damned near impossible to drain. I really like the SOT and mine is on the way. Can't wait to get home and take the Raptor to the rigs offshore for a cobia. Thanks Jim for the-trip and  the try out. Damned impressive boat and I'm sure there will be many yakkers who will want a try it out when they see it. Art

I also had a very good, but brief outing on one of Jim's Raptors a couple of weeks ago. Very impressed. Want to try it again for a longer outing. Am considering one for next year. Every man needs more than one kayak.

Dang right. Designed for the challenges of NorCal They should be awesome on the Gulf . Jim knows I've been wanting to demo one.  Getting about time to pass the  Marauder's mojo on to a newb. 2014 could be the year of the Raptor. Love the mono wheel cart concept

In the game of biggest fish, if you can't enjoy routinely gettin' your ass handed to you, by great fishermen, then you don't belong in the NCKA.
