Looking to upgrade my surf gear for the bigger fishies that are showing up.

Looking for a van staal either a 100 or 150.

Also looking for a good surf rod.  G loomis or st croix.

What size? what weight?

Bail or no bail? Have you drooled on pictures of Zeebaas reels?

Looking for at least 11 ft  and maybe even 12 ft rod.  Med heavy.  Just need something that can handle topwater but still light enuff to throw swimbaits.  The rods I have are a bit light to really use topwater effectively.  I'm not a snob by any stretch of the imagination but you pay for quality .  Want something that is light enuff to carry and sling lures all day.

Open to both bail and bailess.  Never touched a zbass but they look sweet.

Dont know about st croix warranty but last I checked g loomis charges 100$ for a warranty claim.now remember your shelling out 300+ at the low end then if you need a warranty claim its an additional 100$.just and fyi if you wasn't aware
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it
