Biggest "fish" I ever caught from my kayak.
8ft 9in Thresher shark caught at San Clemente Island during the 2013 NCKA trip on The Islander in June. Hooked on a giant Mag Rapala.
Fought for 2.5 hrs and it dragged me nearly 2 miles...away from the Islander. The mofo was tail-hooked!

Only shark I have ever shot...yummy Angel Shark.

Was quite a battle to subdue him but well worth it...ton of meat that tasted more like a delicate pork than fish  :smt003

Can finally add to the shark thread! 48 inch leopard shark that took me for a sleigh ride for a while before tiring out and giving some back and forth for 15 minutes before I could grab him and pull him aboard.

They are such pretty fish.

Lovin the dogs reaction

That was his 1st shark encounter, but eventually he was licking and biting it like he does to most fish.
