Just curious if anyone has used Ketamine infusions as a way to reduce PTSD symptoms.  If so I was wondering if it worked and if there were any side effects.

Never heard of it. My life saver has been CBD oil.

I couldn’t find a doctor who didn’t seem more screwed up than me to prescribe it and  give me dosages.

My psychologist mentioned this treatment because another doctor was offering free treatments in Santa Rosa because of the mass number of people affected by the fires.  Haven’t heard back yet to see if I was a candidate.  Apparently it was given to a lot of vets, but from what I can find it its a lower dose of what they give you to forget during a surgery.

Doesn't ketamine effect a lot of other things in your body though? I would read a lot before trying anything, even my suggestion.

Wasn't ketamine a strong sedative like tranquilizer used for animals. Cbd sounds much safer, compared to that.

The difference was this treatment has helped people with one or two treatments.  Based on the Internet thats why I was looking for real life users.  It’s like a brain reset button.  Unlike the oil which sounds like something I would need forever or until the affects were no longer favorable.

Ketamine is not good stuff.  1st off its a pharmaceutical so it is synthetic.  It's used more often as an animal tranquilizer anesthesia.   Some folks use it to get high and it's more common on the East coast for that.
I would use cannabis.  I'm not sure how just CBD oil would help because it lacks any THC.  For PTSD, you would want some amount of THC since CBD isn't psychoactive and doesn't stimulate you CB1 (cannabinoid receptor 1).  THC acts like anandamide, a naturally occurring neurotransmitter that activates your CB1 receptors.  CBD with THC will help reduce the negative effects of THC like anxiety or paranoia.

ketamine is for acute cases.  Having a bad depressive episode with suicidal ideation?  There are ER departments that will give ketamine.  It works fast.  It's still an off label use though so you might run into issues with insurance companies paying for it, physicians willing to prescribe it, etc.

If your looking for a brain reset then go natural with psilocybin or ibogaine.   I don't have experience with ibogaine, but it is has been used to reset a heroin user or other addicts brains to not crave their drug of choice anymore.

Fuck the pharmies.  They want your money and don't provide safe cures.  Most pharmies just mask the problem so you become a lifetime customer.  $$$ for the pockets

I did have some neurofeedback a few years ago and was able to see my brain mapped.  Unfortunately I moved and the doctor who was doing it had a family emergency and had to stop the treatment.  Way better than pharmacy drugs.  That’s why I am looking at other options for resetting the brain instead of just drugging myself into not caring about anything.
