JB weld for hull protection?

I've heard of people using JB weld to protect the bottom of their yaks from wear.
What is your thoughts on this?

which JB to use?

I've been using JB Weld (Kwik Weld) on my yaks for years, and it's prevented wear on the hull bow/stern as I load/unload my yak from the roof rack.  It's awesome, and I hardly have a need to re-apply it. 

I have. It is amazing how strong that thing is to abrasion.

I seem to remember that FuzzyTom posted some good pictures of this too, but I’m too lazy to search for it now...

 

  On my previous OB hull (Returned for the dreaded cracked drive well) I laid a patch of HOT glue on the wear area at the back of the hull.  The way I loaded it in the bed of my truck, lent to the bottom being drug about a foot over ground till I could lift and shove in the bed rest of the way.  I wised up after I saw the wear and started laying a towel down in the "Drag area" The hot glue is not hard by any measure, but it was being worn instead of the hull. 
  My current hull, I have not put any form of hull shield on, simply lay a towel down.

I've forgotten if I posted pics, can't locate them, but it has held up pretty well.  It gets scraped away, but a little at a time. I recall that I used masking tape to keep it from running all over, but it wasn't very runny, and I pulled the tape off before it completely set up - making nice straight lines - as if that matters on a 14- year-old kayak!

Apparently, JB has become a big thing and now there is no such thing as standard (over a dozen different types)
So,
I narrowed it down to these two.
Any suggestion as to which would have the best wear protection?
Help a brother out!

I don't know... I'm having a hard time deciding between the two.
