For Sale / Thule roof rack for sale
« on: March 31, 2024, 02:50:22 PM »
Thule wing bar evo 53” and Thule evo clamps that’ll fit most sedans/truck/suvs.
This cross bar is adjustable making it universal with most vehicles. Used previously on an Acura tsx, Audi a3, and a Toyota Tacoma. These sit onto the roof with rubber pads, then secured into the door frame clamps. The clamps tightness can be adjusted with an Allen wrench. Perfect for a vehicle with no factory rails. Turn an ordinary car with more capabilities for adventure.
Never had an issue with issue with water leaking in the car, door closing, or it feeling unstable. I really liked these.
Selling because I no longer have a use for it. They worked great on many road trips and miles of travel. I changed vehicles and had to change my roof rack system as well.

$200

Or even some electrical steel conduit pipe would work great for a cheap diy mast.

Run that combo all the time. Works great. Never had an issue bringing in halibut with it in the summer. Guess I’m just poor or just don’t care. You can use a chefs knife to cut butter.  :smt002

Wanted To Buy / Re: looking for surf rod

I use two different set ups for surf fishing and crab snaring. I use a rockaway 11’ for fishing. Then a 11’ okuma longitude for crab snaring. Bought them from west marine. Both relatively cheap end of the spectrum.

Wow that halibut is is as wide as the tailgate
Slept in. Launched at 8am. One of 65 squid. Slow trolled back to mbk. One big take down along the kelp. Not sure if it was a fish or a seal. Really calm nice day on the water. Wish I could fish again tomorrow.

General Fishing Tips / Re: Keeping ice on the kayak
« on: August 06, 2023, 10:00:04 PM »
I use a Reliable kill bag. Owned it for three years. I lightly rinse it after sessions, throughly scrub it every 90 days. Doesn’t smell (that) gross, easily cleaned durable material. Imagine it lasting another three, maybe five years. Think it’s worth investing the money. It’s something I use every trip. Large up front cost, paid its self off pretty quickly. Preserving the quality of the fish makes for a better tasting meal. Looks like they have some cheaper ones on Amazon, can’t say much for the functionality or durability. Hard to argue with the price.
