I'll get this started by saying that Big Jim Russell and the A-Hull crew really pulled off a great event at Del Monte Beach in Monterey today.  We fished, gathered at the mile buoy to pay our respects, paddled together, potlucked and raffled, raising more funds for PIF in a record year.

Well done to everyone involved.  Good Times!  :smt001

good times. Life is too short and these are the memories that stick. Thanks to the A-hulls for getting
us all together for a great event. Paying respect to all those we have lost; gone but not forgotten.

Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Thanks Big Jim and the A-hulls for another successful PIF.  Congrats Eric on the Speargun.

Great pics Eric!!

It was awesome to see you and everyone else on Saturday!!!!

 :smt008

The raft up was epic, support boats were awesome to have for safety and tows  :smt002, the pig was devoured, the donated beer was guzzled, we had a great turnout of veteran PIFers and new folks and families, there were a ton of prizes, we got the kiddos in on ticket drawing and we raised a bunch of $$!!!!

THNK YOU so much to everyone who donated prizes, bought tickets, came out, showed love and supported the 8th Annual Pay It Forward event!!!

I have some unclaimed prizes and will post them up in a day or so...

Final Tally for the day:

$3,840 in PayPal Tix
$2,645 in Cash
$1,000 cash donation from e2g  :smt007 :smt008 :smt007

Total for day: $7,485

This combined with the $$ already raised in 2017 (and outlined in the link below) puts us at the $40,000 mark for 2017. More than double any previous year!!

http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=79000.0

One I deposit the cash and it posts on PayPal I will post screenshots and do a breakdown of how much we have in "reserves" etc.

Here are a few pics from Saturday and I will work on vid once I get my GoPro back...I left it on the Porto Bella.  :smt005 :smt044

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Yeah!  It popped out of my PFD pocket as I hauled up the wave slope.

Thanks!!  :smt001
