Just a quick post to keep you all updated...

As of now we have heard that Victorg and pinseeker_11 have lost their homes.

Craig/Ravensblack and the Albion Open have spearheaded helping getting $$ raised for Victor. Some early donations came into the PIF PayPal for Victor and those were transferred to Craig, and so far Craig has been able to get $3,150 cash to Victor.

Chris/Pinseeker_11's uncle Bill/Snapperhead let me know that he has been in touch with Chris, and that they are working with insurance to get the family into a trailer but could really use some help with replacing clothes and dishes and essentials for the family.

Chris does not have PayPal but Bill does so yesterday we zapped $3,000 to Bill to get to Chris to help them get back on their feet, and to make sure they had the needed essentials for the family.

I let Bill know that if he hears that Chris has an immediate need above and beyond that to let us know....and the same for Victor or anyone else out there...if you hear of another NCKA member that needs help because of these fires please let us know and we will see what we can do to help out...

ALSO, bmb and Native and Clavey are doing the killer kayak raffle that so far has brought in $3,460 in ticket sales!! Once the raffle is done we will see how much we have, assess the need and distribute the $$ as appropriate...

I have attached a screenshot showing the donation yesterday that we sent to Bill for Chris.

We hope all the above is in line with what the community expects of us...please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

THANK YOU!!

Sincerely,

Jim

And for my 14,000th post I'll say that this goes for the fire ripping through the Santa Cruz mountains right now as well....

Jim and A-Hulls, thank for all you do. NCKA as a whole gives to PIF, but there is a lot of work that goes into making it so successful.
