I don't think it was the color more so than the lures action.  I tried top water, crankbaits (deep and shallow) spinner baits in a variety of colors but to no avail.  It was the wacky worm in 2 different brands (slightly different shades of green/red flake) that they liked.  Maybe they were on the beds and didn't want to abandon the nest to chase something....anyway they liked the worms so if you go take plenty.

I arrived around 6 and headed out to the right (I like this end of the lake).  I tried everything in the bag but to no avail until I tried Wacky rigged fat worms (watermelon/red flake)......BOOM!  I caught 9 bass and lost a few more.  Most were the 10-12 inch variety but I did manage a couple of 17 inch fatties that scaled at 2 pounds each.  I'm going to try to post the pics soon but I haven't had much luck doing that so you might have to use your imagination.

If I go ahead and install an electric troll motor on my Outback what are the fees required from DMV?  I have heard that it can be as much as 180 bucks.  I know that it is required to license a powered yak in California but how many of you actually do?  Thanks for any responses.

I have a 2013 Hobie Outback.  I'm interested in putting an electric motor on it.  What are some suggstions as to what motor/battery to use and any other insight into what modifications provide the best results.  Thanks for any help.

This shows the rudder is almost locked in.

I loosened the bungee 2 inches from 7 to 9.  It works way better and the bungree is not as taught.  I'll have to drop in the port and see if this improvement is the answer.  I have a little slack in the deploy handle but I can live with that if all else is good.  Thanks for the advice.

It appears that the rudder does not "lock" into the down position as per the photos.  The arrow points to the "locking" mechanism in the "locked" as well as the "not yet locked" position.  Once deployed and cleated the rudder does not stay in the locked position.  If you peddle slowly, it will stay down but upon speeding up the rudder will "blow back" and become ineffective.....also if you hit some weeds it will do the same.....I just don't know how to fix this.
