that being said, this could mean kayaks/sups being allowed in the back ponds.

Non-refundable inspection fees:

$7 for motorized vessels; can be waived for future visits after initial inspection with use of banding program;
$3 for car-top or inflatable. Kayak/car-top inspection fee is good for 30 days from date on receipt, but must be inspected every time.
Float tubes and inner tubes are free. Park entrance and launch fees still apply on each visit.

Oh god. More regulations, on top of the 15 dollars fee. What a P.I.T.A. i guess coffers are running low and they need more money for donuts.

Craft won't pass if any water drips off it during the inspection.  Wonder if that means no boats on the water on rainy days?

My kayak always has a little water inside due to dew from the night before. Couldn't deal with not passing and wasting a day of fishing.  :smt013

If you load the kayak the night before you could put a tarp over it, but what if it rains?

Over at Quarry Lakes, one ranger checks my pfd, paddle, pedal drive and off course inside the hull.  Other rangers are more lenient.

Yeah there's pretty much no bay area lakes anymore without inspections, so I'll still go to sc since its my local lake and I'm sure that I'll get to know the rangers pretty well enough to get somewhat of a pass.
