I'm guessing Sand Sole?
Caught @ Fort Ross in 70 FOW on a lucanus-type jig.
12" - 14" inches I'd say.
Toothy and generally unhappy. Released.

Yup Sand sole it is. I released the first one I caught as well which was huge at almost 20 inches.

Now I take them to my local chinese restaurant where they give them a corn starch dusting and release them into some hot oil. Yummy!!!  :smt001

Really good eating but better cooked at a restaurant where they can really get the oil hot enough to get them crispy otherwise they can be a bit mushy.
