Anyone know where I can purchase a 4' section of 1.25" OD, 1/16" wall thickness aluminum tubing? I am not sure about the exact alloy. I bent the handle of my salmon net during a kayak roll over earlier in the season, and had to trim about 1.5' off it. Needless to say, trying to net a salmon with a short handled net is tricky at best.

I get all my metal materials from "Alan Steel & Supply Co" in Redwood City. "Gorilla Metals" has a few locations in Santa Clara and Hayward, but they're more pricy.

Thanks! I will check them out.

I've always had a good experience with gorilla metals. Wherever you go, be sure to look thru their scrap bin first---doubtful that you'll find exactly what you are looking for, but it's not impossible...

You could try Moose metals in concord,

check on amazon. they sell tubing, and usually free shipping. tubing can be expensive and may not be worth it for your net (new nets are what, $40-50?)

These guys have everything and they are usually cheaper than Gorilla.
