What an amazing finish to a really fun year!!!!!

Some HUGE fish taken and many changes in the top three!!

By the time the dust had settled Adam415 had crushed it and taken 1st place, Deke had put in the work and moved up to 2nd and Mtitch12 finished in 3rd!!

Adam is a long time DOTY player (since 2013), an excellent hard working diver, a fierce competitor, a gentle giant, a family man, and a great guy and it is an honor to have him as our 2017 champion!! Adam will win the coveted Piscean Plaque and a Jackson Kayak Kraken 13.5!!

Deke is one of the fishiest guys I know, has had some very notable finishes in comps in recent years, and seems to be able to crush it wherever he goes. He is also a super hard worker, family man, and all around really cool guy and I am very happy for him that he was able to get out at the very end of the year and find the fishies he needed to get 2nd place!! Deke will win a custom Amadeo print and an Orion Coolers 85 in Bluefin!!

Matt T. exploded onto the DOTY scene this year with amazing diving ability and even more impressive fish!! I have no doubt that if he plays in the future he will be a force to be reckoned with for anyone trying to get 1st place!! Matt will win a custom Amadeo Print and a HydroKaddy.

This year started off kinda slow so I was very happy to see the competition heat up towards the end!!

1. Adam415 with a MONSTER Lingzilla. At 44.25 inches and 35.3 pounds it is the biggest Ling in both DOTY and AOTY history!!

Congrats again to all who played, and especially to our top three!!

This will be my last year working on coordinating DOTY...it has been a ton of fun, and I hope those who have played for the past 6 years have enjoyed it even half as much as I have!!

 

I will be working hard to get the prizes and trophies together and am looking forward to a fun time at the awards ceremony with everyone!! Date and location TBA soon!!!

Its been a wild year. Congrats to all that played and a big thanks to Bigjim for all you have done for DOTY over the last 5 years.

Congrats guys.  Those are some great fish and personal bests for sure.
