I'm wondering if anyone has experience parking a kayak trailer at SWS. Since my trailer is small I can put it in a parking space next to the car, but I'm wondering if I'll get hassled since parking is an issue there and access is gate controlled.

You should call ahead and ask where to park.

I would call the Harbor Master. If it is during the weekday , i don't think it would be a problem parking it near the hedges by the 17th hole. The weekends is a whole different story with lots of traffic to contend with at the members club.( starts getting busy about 11 ) There is also over flow parking just before the tennis courts which might be easier in that you might not have to disconnect trailer.

They will very likely send you to the parking that is to the left of the ranger post at the entrance to still water, but it's a good idea to call ahead and ask.

You’ll have to park it up above by the tennis courts. You can dropoff your yaks & gear by the pier first, but warning it’s a tight spot to turn around with a trailer :-)

Make sure you don't block traffic.  It gets busy there and you dont want to upset the members.

Sounds like a bad idea to me. Rooftop your kayaks, last thing we need is a bunch of freaking trailers at busy places we are privileged to be able to use

We take a big van and trailer full of kayaks there ever so often. If it is early and during the week we detach the trailer and put it next to the van at the hedge parting like keenero mentioned. If it is full we ark up by the tennis courts. If you are not taking more than 2 kayaks it is best to but them on racks or in the bed of the truck
