Want to take my family out on TI - where is the best place to launch (daily parking with trailer)?   Either boat ramp or beach launch will work.

In particular, can't find info on parking in Kirby Park.

Thanks!

Launch from Moss landing boat ramp.  :smt006

Thanks, Chet. Do you know, is there enough clearance under the bridge?

I have not gone under with sail. But from times I have been there, I think there is enough clearance.

You can lay the sail flat on tramp if it's not. you know this of course. lol

No point in rocking the sail going into the slough anyway.  Check the tide and make sure it's not too high.

Chet has a special spot that's better for launching when the ramp is crazy busy

I’ve wondered this too. Seems like it might be close so I wouldn’t risk it—better to step the mast after you go under.
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

Last time I checked (last year), the Kirby Park launch was closed for repair

Stay on the north side coming back if outgoing tide as the current can RIP. Bridge clearance should be no issue at any tide.

The Kirby launch was open just the other week. Im sure parking fills up quickly with locals and nature watchers. I don't believe there is a charge for the launch.

There are occasional sightings of the elusive FM1 mud bird.  :smt002

I have never google directions to Kirby park. You really have to keep an eye out for the small entrance.
