Make sure the tide is right if you plan on launching at the north end.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

Try typing "chicken cove" in the search function. If I remember correctly it becomes difficult to access at around 2.5ft and above.
Also bring beach wheels

How about Sea Ranch?  Iooking at the map there are a lot of good looking spots but no access.

Sea Ranch is legit.
There is public access to the beach, you just have to walk in from the public parking near the highway.
Its worth it.

Make sure you stay on the marked public trails.  The Sea Ranch residents take their property rights very seriously, and don't like visitors.  They will probably be watching you, your car, and your kayak the whole time.  The authorities are called out regularly, for just about any reason they can come up with.

I just think its funny how people think Sea Ranch is some sacred off limits place.
Sure, "stay on the trails". But who goes off the trail anyways?
What's even funnier,,, me blowing up the spot.

Autocorrect typo? Not sure what you’re saying.

Wind finally quit this morning at Anchor Bay, but it still looks pretty rough from up here at 650 up the hill. Guys going out have caught some nice lungs lately.
Warning! Retiree; Knows it all and has plenty of time to tell you about it.

How does the beach look? Someone had mentioned that it was all washed out. I was hoping to get up there this week but looks like another rough weekend.
