It was a great NCKA day at Paradise today even though the fishing wasn't very productive. I believe the total catch was 1 Striper and 1 Halibut. As usual, the NCKA team did a great job with everything. Lots of great food and friendship! Thanks to all who worked to organize another terrific event. I took a few pictures, but unfortunately none of fish.

Ben's painting is absolutely awesome! I'd be proud to put that on my wall at home. Reminds me a lot of Steadman, only better! I need to have someone show me how the heck to fish for those ugly things. Looks like a great time! Congrats to Stormscrambler!

Some great shots of the plastic navy on shore and at sea. Looks like the wind held off for you.
-
Looks like another great NCKA's hookup. Sorry I can't make it but I'll see you guys next week in Shelter Cove! Thanks for the reports and pictures guys.
-
I rolled into the parking lot around 10 am. Dropped off some food at the tables and then walked down to the ramp to snap some shots.
-
Scarcity of fish, some wind, maybe some nutty PBers, or maybe hunger had some returning to the ramp.

Thanks for the Hook up Adam! Too bad the fish weren't biting but it was a nice day out there. I still need to get some blood on my new kayak so now it will have to wait till Shelter Cove and couldn't think of a better place to kick it off. See all next week( i mean later this week). :smt006
-
Foyst' & Formost, I wanna congradulate Scramblin'James for not doing anything, and letting the fish do the work. =the only way to hook the things, i think.
I wanna thank BenZan that PaintingMan* for making such a sweet piece of artwork to match the theme of the day!
Giving Back is that theme, so please stop the all the ThankYous, because I do it for US!! The NCKA Family!! and you are very welcome.
Now i cant find my usb plug,(@work),so i'll put up the few shots i got on mon.
Howard~ Thanks for clickin away(except for that shot of Barb&I w/full mouths&contorted faces :smt005) for these get-togethers might never really have happened, it it were not for PICTURES!, right boyz?
The food was just enough, so that none was wasted and the weather was like.......well.....Paradise.
Good to see all of you guys out there enjoying yourselves, on & off the water. I did not fish, I would have felt bad leaving the guys who took me under their paddles from DAY1(and my wife :smt003) on the shore.
So, WE do it all again next year, and REMEMBER THESE WORDS ONCE SPOKEN FROM A WISEMAN.
~~It's not about the FISH, it's about the FISHING that makes a day.
I love you all and see you next week or sooner. :smt008
-

Adam and Barbara our thanks are sincere. Good times on and off the water with the launchings and landings performed like a well choreographed dance. Another Great NCKA Adventure!

Great to see the gang out there yesterday. :smt004
-
Damn do I feel like I missed something that would be have been incredible to be a part of. You can see by the smiles in the pics that you didn't have to hook a fish to have fun at this outing. I love all othe pictures, and Ben, that is an incredible piece of art, I love your stuff! An epic report of an epic day on the water. Imagine has it been a day where a school or two swam through!
-
That's how it's done.
Sorry I missed out!
-
I see why they call it "Paradise"... Great pics, food and fun! Sorry I missed it - Was busy with our daughter's 'Sweet 16'.
Best,
Jeff (a.k.a. Steelerhead)

Twas a good time for sure. Perfect weather, perfect tide, great group, great grub, wheres' da fish?? :smt102 4 outa 5 ain't bad. Adam, thanks for your efforts, love the casual demenor of the whole event. Next time plant a few more halibut eh? :smt002 :smt005 My favorite story of the day was the smelt in the glass story :smt005 Always love checking out the creative yak riggings in these events too. Good times.
-
It was good seeing everyone. Thanks Adam and Barbara. See you all next time.
-
It looks like another great job setting that up Adam. Wished I could have been there for this one, too much work at home to get done and Friday was my only day to get out. Congrats to Stormscrambler for the nice halibut and what a great painting Guitarzan. I bet the fish got a glance at the ominous looking fishing weapons on the grass and swam away. Those pictures of all the kayaks ready to fish are awesome. Thanks for sharing the moments!!

THANKS to Adam and Barb for setting up this 2nd annual hook-up. We'll all be looking forward to ity again next year. As always, thanks to Hojoman for capturing the fun with his camera.
The fishing was slow, but that was no big deal considering that weather was perfect and good food and great company was waiting on shore.
CONGRATS to James for landing the biggest butt and earning that super-cool Guitarzan painting.
-
great job adam. looked like a great time.
-
Wow, tough day, but ended well! Congrads on the first prize James!!! Wish I could have made it :smt010 Was a hard call to make, but I'll be there next time for sure!
-
Wish I could have made it
It's almost like you were there.
-
Yes, congrats indeed to my Del Valle fishing buddy James who is having a break-out year. First yak butt is always something to remember. Really had a great time dragging little smelt around on a beautiful day on the bay. Almost fell asleep on a couple of the drifts. Many thanks to Adam and Barbara for organizing. Didn't feel too bad about the skunk since the weather, company and food were great and the "luminaries" got skunked also. :smt005

I also that you out there. I was wondering why you were dissing me. :smt002
On another note, did anyone find the orange bucket with a gray lid that I left at the launch ramp? Not a real big deal, but the new 5 gallon bucket belonged to Fuzz. I guess I owe him one.
-
just had some butt and chips and man was that tasty :smt118

Any Day I get to hang out With The NCKA Fam is like hookin' a limit! Seen alota Legends, And met alotta new friends. :smt006. Thanx Adam n Barb, A great Time as usual, Can't wait to soak up some sun and fun at the next one :sunny: mmmmmmmmmmmm butt chips...
-
Duh! A litle late here. Thanks Adam and Barb! The timing was great the tide was good the fish sucked the big one but all was good. It was a great way to start the halibut season for me. Good to see all the folks on the water. Can you believe that damn A Leepin? That guys got a nose for the fish. James I watched you since Jan 09 and it just thrilled the living shit out of me to see you hook up with your first kayak hali AND win the show. Bens art work is the best yet and I really mean that Ben. Now you all know that Ben made 2 pieces along the same lines for 1st and 2nd for Albion. Heres the only photo I took that day. Must have been inspiration. I dont think James had any idea what was in store.
-
Chuck, the bucket was still down at the launch when I helped Relentless pull his yak out. Maybe the ranger kept it for lost & found. jim
-
didnt get to make it out there with you guys this year fo to a ankle injury :smt011 but i am glad everyone had fun. I just want to say thanks to adam for puttin it together (even though i wasnt there) because it takes alot work for the guys to make these trips possible so thanks guys. and ben couldnt of painted a better pic for the trip thats awesome. see you guys soon :smt001
