I'm in for one. Sense of security would be nice.

Im 50/50 meaning i want to buy one but dont have the funds yet so let me try to scrap up some money.
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Those prices are cheaper when I participated in a group buy several years ago. I always have my SS if I am out in the ocean.
Ditto that!
I gave $600 for mine but would have paid more at the time for the insurance for myself and my kayak.
What a great opportunity for anyone that dosnt have one.
With the growing number of sharks, there's more out there than most imagine. I think I read where they believe the numbers work  out to a GW every 1/4 mile of coastline.
I've seen 2 while diving in my years of diving. Along with seeing headless seals in Trinidad bay, and Noyo harbor while kayak fishing.
If you spend any time in the ocean this is a no brainer!

Great product that every salt yaker/diver should concider.
Just remember to turn it on (guess how I learned that) Lol!!!
My only complaint this far is battery life
Lasts 6-8 hours ... many of my days are 8-12 hours.
Might be in for another ..... always good to have a backup.

I've thought of 2 on board, mine lasts 5-6 hours...
“I’m going fishing.”  They said, “we will go with you.”

Curious about this too.

I'm 95% in and it wont take much to convince myself to go in 100%. I go out by myself sometimes and it would add some peace of mind. I heard of some guy on the north coast that had a 12' shark circle his kayak a few times, that does not really bother me, it's the attack from the bottom that is unsettling (not that I think about that much).

I'll do some researching through the forum to convince myself. I have already seen lots of posts about the SS and that video interview of the guy that got hit down south.

+1

Now another topic I've read - apparently sharks can get used to the sound and become immune to it after a while? Read elsewhere someone asking the question if this pitch or sound changes, because they could become immune to it after a while...I suspect this isn't true but want to research.  Thoughts?
