Yup, Elric... that was Pt. Lopez.  Limekiln is the closest legal rockfish fishing grounds until it our season here opens in July.

When this fish came aboard my kayak, my first thought was "What a beautiful fish!"  It was only after I had put it on the stringer that I realized that it was a pretty good size one...

Now I'm looking for a bigger one.

Hey Bill,

With all the excitement that the Elk tournament I forgot about the big fish pool.   Anyway, I just remembered that I'm in the big ling pool (paid this spring before the season even opened) and my winning fish at Elk is the current big ling (unless someone had a real good weekend elsewhere).

So put be down for one ling at 23 lbs caught at Elk, weighed by Sean White on multiple scales and witnessed by just about everyone.

Thanks,
Brian
