As much as I wanted to join the dungie frenzy with the rest of you along the coast, I decided to hang out with my kids on the banks of Carquinez Straits. They’ve been asking me to take them fishing and this past weekend’s forecast and tides (not too early or late) catered to their desires. Im glad I took them.  Both reeled in keepers at  20” and 21”. Their faces filled with excitement and adrenaline was priceless.
I hope when I’m gone they’ll put my gear to use..

A day like that with your kids is worth way more than a yak load of crab.  I still remember fishing with my Dad, just across the bay from where you were, and that was over 50 yrs ago.

My daughter is 16 now and doesn't want to fish, but the memories are priceless! Great job dad!

👍looks like fun times, nothing beats watching your kids light up when they're fighting fish
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I was just talking about fishing with kids with my buddy the other day, we both vividly recalled moments fishing with our dad's that happened more than 40 years ago.
You just planted some of those seeds.
That beats crab anyday
