Are there any events planned for 2020 or avid fly anglers planning leisurely fresh water day trips? Where do you go in Northern California? Rivers? Lakes? Clues are appreciated.
Thanks

Member Scott Vaughn is probably one of our principle fly advocates. He’ll see this, it

seems like about once a year he hits Rollins Lake? with a small group. Look for the hookup or establish a PM with him.

Spring smallies are a good flyfishing target at Sly Park in Pollock Pines.

How about Sugar Pine in your back yard??

I was there in November and saw a lot of tails braking the surface in the late afternoon.

Next time I head up there I am bringing my fly rod

Once my broken rib heals I’ll be fly fishing pretty much every weekend I’m not off-roading. I’ll post up when I go out. I pretty much fish everywhere for everything, mostly in my float tube but will bring the kayak out on occasions.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

DavidMel been to Sugar Pine. That was my very first launch as a kayaker. Never caught anything there but keep trying anyway. I see fish jumping. My time will come there soon. I also get down to the American River middle Fork at Driver's Flat and North Fork at Ponderosa and have had luck with rainbows and on the north fork bass. Thanks for your reply.

I caught one bass by the dam and lost one paddle on my first trip to Sugar Pine.  I also snagged someones broken off line with a powerbait setup.  Pulled up about 20 feet of line.
