Since the poll resulted in a unanimous decision on the date, and that date was only two weeks away, I'm setting the date for the Lexington MBF.

Here is how it is going to go down, subject to discussion.

Date:  Saturday July 29
Entry:  $10
Format:  Biggest (weight) LMB (1) wins the entire pot.  No dead fish penalty.
Time:  6am Fishing starts.  12pm Fishing ends.

In fact, you have to be back at the ramp at 12 noon.  Weigh in at the ramp.  Those that wish to release their fish can weigh and have a witness on their boats and release the fish before the weigh-in.  Live well or keep sack prefered so all can see the fish but the honor system is in effect.  If no witness is available, honor system holds.  Must be a scale measurement.

Shore lunch to follow tournament, and crappie hunt is expected on full stomachs, followed by another shore lunch to fill in the corners emptied by the pursuit of crappie.

I will provide the fryer for the fish (and batter and tortillas and cabbage).  Anything else is welcome.  Beer is always good (on the down low, no bottles please).

Anything is up for debate.  Let's get us some taco meat and have a good time to boot!

Sounds great, but no need to make it just annual.

We could make it the Tie-Dye MBF Trail.

I like the MBF format.  Less stressful, and easy to organize.

It only takes 2 to have a MBF, so no worries about making the dates and sponsors and such.

Still competition, and I will win, but less of a big deal, and the shore lunch is going to be EPIC.

I forgot to put this in the rules so here is an amendment:

Winner has to give up Lure/Location/Technique for the winning fish.

And if people think $10 is steep for an MBF we can go $5 if you like.

You have two weeks to ask questions to get up to speed.

I will help you in any way I can to get you on fish.  MBFs are about fun and camraderie.  I really tone down the game face in these events and will go out of my way to help competitors catch fish.  I will still beat you  :smt002 but I will help you try to beat me...

Ask away.

Mol,

The rewards for trash talking continue!  I picked up the lastest Fishsniffer at FW the other day and inside is an article on Loch Lomond embellished with a photo of none other the the tye-died champion of the Father's Day Tournament.  Will you be available to autograph at Lexington?
