Elk is scheduled for the weekend of Aug. 11, 12, and 13.  This is unofficial until the event is approved by the ECC BOD on 3/14, but mark your calendars now.  This date coincides with the second half of ab seaosn and a nice low tide first thing in the am of all three days, followed by a nice incoming tide for maximum fishing...SWEET!

OH MY! HOW SWEET IT IS!!
I actually signed up to have that week off back in December! I will definitely be there and I won't be arriving at 11pm the night before. I will finally find out what it will be like being able to take my time getting to a tournament.
I might even go to work with a smile on my face today.  :smt003

I hear there is supposed to be a NASTY flu like virus striking most kayak fishers that weekend too. What a whacky coincidence.

Oh yea, sorry Sean. Forgot about your spell last year.
I was talking about the kind that only affects our absence at work. The kind where getting out with your friends on the water makes for an INSTANT recovery. :smt002
