I just bought anHDS Live 7 and am having a bit of a time finding a transducer arm for my kayak. Google isn’t helping much and I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction?

My old setup is a Lowrance Elite 4 with a yakattack transducer arm on a 1” ram ball mount.

Berleypro makes different adapters for different transducers that wouldn’t normally fit on your stock kayak. I have the Lowrance total scan transducer and got the berleypro guard for it and it has worked well so far.

Will this work?

https://www.yakattack.us/switchblade-transducer-deployment-arm/

I actually purchased that. The problem is that it doesn’t come with the bracket for the transducer to mount onto the arm.

I called YakAttack and they said they don’t have one yet...

I made a portable FF setup for my little aluminum boat, and this transducer arm works perfect for me. https://www.amazon.com/BroCraft-Transducer-Mounting-Mount-Finder/dp/B06XVCYGJC/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?crid=23RULFMABIBZ7&keywords=transducer+mounting+arm&qid=1552502979&s=gateway&sprefix=transducer&sr=8-13

The new Lowrance HDS Live all comes with the metal housings for installation on the back of a boat. It isn’t prepped or comes with the bracket to be mounted onto any sort of arm attachment.

I tried calling Lowrance as well but I can neither get through or they are closed by the time I am off work.

A new 2019 hobie will fix your transducer issue otherwise you will have to be creative and do some fabrication. Spend some time looking at what you have and what you need or you might know someone who can make the parts. Sucks to spend that much on a top of the line system and cant use it... I almost went with that unit but decided on the 7Elite TI2

I haven’t had much luck at all and a new Hobie is out of the question since I just bought a new pedal drive kayak...

Worst case is that I will get one CNC for me.

If the transducer is setup for transom mounting, it should be easy to attach to that Brocraft arm. I haven’t been paying attention to the last 4+ years of Lowrance units, but I’ll look at the specs/pics to confirm...it should work though.

Ram makes a transducer arm mount that looks to work with the HDS Live 7.

I have it on order and it’s scheduled to be delivered this coming up week. I will update.

Here is what I ended up with and put together today. Ram is the only one that has an arm mount to work with the HDS Lives with the TotalScan transducers at this time.

Thank you.

Yes, it is a Feelfree Lure II w/ Overdrive that I purchased recently.

I added the anchor trolley system, got the HDS Live 7 and Yakattack accessories all put in. Pretty much got everything done now and just waiting on my new lithium battery.

I took it out for a spin over the weekend and it’s amazing.
