I’ve been a member for a few years, but never introduced myself having been a little challenged by the process. Anyway, I’ve been fishing and boating most of my life. For the past 20 years or so, I’ve been an avid kayaker and more recently got into kayak fishing.

I live near Sebastopol. I just retired. Married, two grown daughters.

My biggest frustration is not being able to easily connect with others to fish with. I place a premium on safety, so I don’t like fishing alone but desperate I do anyway if there are other boaters around. I hope to connect with other members who like to kayak fish the waters around here, either fresh or inshore ocean. I’ve been landing a few nice Halibut’s lately and want to try crabbing, having just bought a Danielson trap. I also want to do some Delta fishing....Stripers particularly.....however, I know little about the area. I like camping and have a small A-frame hardside camper that I drag around for multi-day outings.

Welcome. There are a number of us from the north bay who are on here and get out fishing pretty often. My schedule has me fishing mid week so if you are retired and want company mid week you can get a hold of me.

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.....midweek is fine, weekends, whenever after so many years of 8-5. Tomales is where I have the most experience, and it is mostly affected by wind. I’m thinking of dropping a crab trap and then jigging around for some Halibut as soon as possible....out of Nick’s cove when the conditions are decent.

Welcome Jim, Santa Rosa here.  Been thinking about heading to either Timber or Nick's Cove next weekend (4/21).  If you're interested in teaming up give me a shout.
