Took diverclimber to Mendo today to show him the way.  We didn't have a lot of time to fish but we didn't need a lot.  After we got our bait I new we were good, it was the best bait ever...huge and frisky!

Trolled about 30-45 minutes...BAM!!!  The fish was thick and healthy, a nicey pre-spawn unit.  Get on it boys.

Diverclimber looked excited to see a fish, but sad that he needed to paddle off to work.  He did great for a newb, and I expect to see him out there soon.  Also ran into yak angler supreme Juan Salinas on the hunt for smallies.

Thanks.  I actually kept that guy and treated my mom who is visiting from FAR away to a fresh fish dinner.  It was delicious!  This time of year they are nice and fat.  I didn't measure this one but it was about 28 inches or so.  The fight in these things is all over the map, this fish came in surprisingly fast and easy, but was still hot at the boat when it was time to lip it, others way smaller than this one go crazy :smt017

What kills me is that Sean.... not only has a nice striper in hand.... but he's fishing in shorts and a T-shirt.  I probably won't get a chance to do around here till August if I'm lucky :smt012
