Thinking of hitting up stinson, or kehoe- company would be more than welcome. Tides and forecast swells are near perfect for perchin'. Probably plan to hit it about 9:30 or so.

i know, i know its not kayak fishing-- but its fishing.

Steve, I may join you if Alviso doesn't pan out for us.

What's the ideal set up for perchin'?

How do you get there?

Thanks,
Chuck

perchin set up-- think mooching rod that you can cast with.
I use my light striper rod, with 25lb braid (8lb diameter), a 1oz sliding egg, then 2 feet of 8lb flouro. Then a #8 gamagatzu bait holder hook, topped with either a 1.5" MORF (motor-oil red flake) grub, a MORG or a GGF (green gold flake). I also use a secret sauce-- shrimp oil.

Hwy 1 North to Stinson, park in the state park main lot. Head out and look for the rips -- mostly to the north
